Beach by day, Bangla road by night
Patong Beach carries the beach parties and much of the nightlife; Old Town runs its own programme a few kilometres inland, drag shows and live music building toward a pageant final — Miss Queen Andaman Power — that most visitors haven't heard of until they're standing in front of it. There's no single organiser behind any of it, closer to a loose federation of bars and venues each running their own night than one coordinated festival. Thailand's same-sex marriage law took effect in January 2025, giving the week a legal footing it didn't have when it started.
The Program
Old Town Pride — the parade departs 5pm from Dragon Square at Queen Sirikit Park, moving through Talat Yai past the Peranakan Museum, the Rainbow Building and Suriyadet Circle Fountain before finishing at the Chartered Bank intersection. A concert follows from 8pm, staged in front of the Government Savings Bank on Phang Nga Road — Old Town's programme runs five in the afternoon to midnight altogether.
The Mascot — a new rainbow figure, several feet tall, unveiled at the Chartered Bank intersection in early June, themed differently every year; no fixed time published yet beyond the general unveiling week.
Patong City Pride — its own week inside the week, running the same first-week-of-June window: a Pride Talk panel discussion (4 June in the 2026 programme), a beach volleyball tournament and the Miss Queen Andaman Power pageant, closing with a second parade that departs 5pm from Prachanukhro Road and runs the length of the beachfront on the final Sunday.
Boat Parties — held through the week; departure point and times not yet published for the next edition.
The Pool Party — 6pm to 10pm, DJ-led, at a resort on Kata Beach, a short drive south of Patong.
Where to Stay
Amari Phuket — on the Patong headland, an easy walk to Bangla Road and the beach parties, for staying inside the loudest part of the week rather than commuting to it.
La Flora Resort Patong — set directly behind Patong's gay scene, a five-minute walk to the bars and clubs of Paradise Complex.
Le Meridien Phuket — on Karon's Relax Bay, a short taxi south of Patong, close enough for the parties without waking up in the middle of them.
The Slate — on Nai Yang Beach, near the airport, for landing into something quieter than either and treating the week as something to drive in for.
