Tel Aviv, Israel
Tel Aviv's Pride is Mediterranean in every sense — as much on the sand as in the street, and among the largest on the regional calendar, drawing well over two hundred thousand people across the week. The parade has moved later in recent years, stepping off in early evening along the beach promenade rather than at midday, timed to hold downtown Tel Aviv through the change of light rather than the heat of the day. What was once a single afternoon now runs closer to a week: an after-party the following day, a run of club nights across the city, and Hilton Beach, the week's unofficial daytime home, coloured for the occasion. Regional conditions can shift a Tel Aviv trip more than most on this list, worth confirming again closer to the date.
The Programme
The Parade — early evening, moving through downtown along the beach promenade; typically the final Friday of a week that runs Sunday to Saturday.
The After Party — held the following day at Ganei Yehoshua Park in northern Tel Aviv, from noon into the early evening, ahead of Shabbat: a main stage, a dancing area, water sprinklers, bars and food stands.
Forever Tel Aviv — a run of parties from Thursday to Saturday, anchored by Haoman 17 and Expo Tel Aviv, including an opening party and an outdoor party.
Hilton Beach — the city's unofficial gay beach, close to the Dizengoff and Rothschild area, coloured for the week and its daytime centre.
Crush — a three-day festival from a regular local party promoter, starting Wednesday, with a rooftop beach party and two headline nights.
The Waterpark Party — a day and night at Shefayim Waterpark outside the city, closing with fireworks.
One Night Only — a drag night, typically held on the Friday.
It's Britney — a pop night taking over several of the city's clubs, typically the Friday.
Popring — one of the city's longest-running parties, timed to the holiday weekend.
Where to Stay
Dan Panorama — central, on the parade route itself.
The Melody — a boutique property two minutes from Hilton Beach.
